The series “Still (a) life” works on the female body. It shows women doing chores or with objects that are related to it. The female body doesn’t entirely appear, it only appears a part of it, until it becomes something unrecognizable at plain sight. By showing it this way, the woman becomes an object –a thing without soul or thought. Troubling photos are made, which question the woman’s role in our society. The viewers have to ask themselves what they are looking at, what they are truly looking at.
